This notice explains what MNM Building Services does with your personal information. We have deliberately kept it short, because we do very little with it.
MNM Building Services is a sole trader providing building services across Poole, Bournemouth and Dorset. We are the data controller for the information described here.
You can reach us by email at mike@mnmbuildingservices.co.uk or by phone on 07534 157495.
Nothing. This site has no contact form, no sign-up, no analytics and no tracking. It sets no cookies of its own, and we do not build any profile of who visits.
The one exception worth naming: the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches those fonts, your IP address is sent to Google as part of that request. We do not receive it and we cannot see it.
If you email, phone or text us about a job, we hold whatever you choose to tell us — typically your name, contact details, the address of the property and a description of the work. If we go on to quote or carry out the work, we keep the quote, any photographs of the job and our invoice.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only where a job requires it — for example with a supplier delivering materials to your property, a subcontractor working on your job, or our accountant for invoicing and tax. If a job needs building control or planning involvement, the relevant council will see the details of the work.
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within twelve months. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for six years after the job, which is the period HMRC requires for business records and which also covers the time in which a claim could be brought.
Emails, quotes and job photographs are held in our email account and on our own devices. Our email is provided by Google, which may store data outside the UK under the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law.
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted where we no longer need it, and to object to how we are using it. Ask us by email and we will respond within one month, free of charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
